Статья обобщает наиболее существенные жанрологические знания о гимне. В ней перечислены архаические образцы жанра разных регионов и стран, подробно изложена античная гимнографии в основных тенденциях и персоналиях. Подчеркнута преемственность европейской гимнической традиции – античной. Определены источники европейского религиозного гимна и прослежена его история, упомянуты известные творцы литургической поэзии, представленной различными модификациями гимна. На широком стихотворном материале исследован светский гимн в его тематическом, стилевом и функциональном многообразии. Отмечены факты циклизации гимна и его композиционное участие в художественном произведении.
The article summarizes the most significant genre knowledge about the anthem. It lists archaic examples of the genre from different regions and countries, and details ancient hymnography in its main trends and personalities. The continuity of the European hymn tradition, the ancient one, is emphasized. The sources of the European religious hymn are identified and its history is traced, famous creators of liturgical poetry are mentioned, represented by various modifications of the hymn. The secular anthem in its thematic, stylistic and functional diversity is studied on a wide range of poetic material. The facts of the cyclization of the anthem and its compositional participation in the work of art are noted.
